2010 Reflections

Top 10 from 2010

  1. My relationship with my Savior and my God. This past year, I have gotten to know the Lord in a whole new way. I could write pages about this, but I will leave it at this. I have fallen more in love with my Savior then ever before. He has taught me to trust only in him, rely solely on his strength, and keep my eyes focused on him above.
  2. School. Both my Spring and Fall Semesters of 2010 were great. I officially changed my major to History and I have taken 3 history classes since then and LOVED them all. What can I say, I’m a history nerd.
  3. Laura. I have so enjoyed being able to pick up our friendship right where we left off when I moved away to Israel. I love our best friend Jalepino dates on Tuesday nights, catching up on the weeks happenings and encouraging one another. I am so thankful for her and our lifelong friendship!
  4. Bible Study. I have gotten involved with a LifeGroup from my church. It is a small group of girls and this year we did Beth Moore’s Living Beyond Yourself. Seriously, this was the best Bible study I’ve ever done. It’s based on the passage in Galatians about the fruit of the Spirit. This study taught me so much about the Holy Spirit and how my life, filled with the Holy Spirit as a believer in Christ should be led.
  5. Narnia Dates. At least once a week or so Bethany and I have a nice long phone chat. We talk about just about everything! I am so blessed to have her as one of my best friends.
  6. Summer. This summer was the best first because I got to spend all of it with my family, second because I got to spend a good amount of it with my friends too. I spent a month in Israel and the first two weeks, Lauren came and toured the country. When my family and I returned to the states Rachel and Molly came for a visit, then Stephanie and I went to Montgomery to visit the O’Mearas. Later, the Stewarts came to Savannah and we stayed in a beach house on Tybee. We ended the summer in Atlanta at Six Flags for a Relient K concert with the O’Mearas, Holmans and Geers. It was an epic summer!
  7. Winter Break. I got to spend a month with my family in Israel. We traveled to London for a week and spent Christmas there. I didn’t realize how much I miss Israel til I came back. I loved traveling around the country visiting all the ancient sites. One of the highlights of the trip was going to the Israel Museum, where I went through the recently reopened Archaeology section. I also got to finally meet the Wade family. They have become good friends with my family this past year in Israel and it was so fun to spend time hanging out and getting to know all eight of them!
  8. Work. I am so blessed to have a job, and a good one at that. I have so enjoyed learning more about Provider Enrollment at SHP this past year. Not only that but I have loved getting to know the people I work with -- they are the best!
  9. Travel. I have gotten to travel a lot this year. Israel. Houston, Texas. Springfield, Missouri. Israel. Jordan. Montgomery, Alabama. Atlanta, Georgia. Charlotte, North Carolina. London, England. Israel. I love traveling and hope that God continues to allow for me to travel around the USA visiting friends and around the world, exploring new places and cultures.
  10. School Breaks. God has blessed so much to be able to spend all of my school breaks with friends or family around the US, when I am unable to go home and see my family in Israel. I am close enough to my Grandma and other family in Charlotte that I have been able to spend some weekends up there. I am close enough to Atlanta that I have been able to visit Hye Zhin and Nathan at Emory several times. I spent my Spring break and Thanksgiving break with the Stewarts in Houston, Texas. I spent my Fall break with the O’Mearas in Montgomery, Alabama. God is so good to have blessed me with the friends and family that I have and I am so thankful for the hospitality!
