There's a First Time for Everything!

I guess there’s a first time for everything. And last Thursday was my first time to have a car accident.
It was my fault. The lady in front of me stopped for an ambulance, and I slammed on my breaks, but couldn’t stop quick enough. And for anyone wondering I was NOT on my phone or texting!
All in all though, there has not been anything negative to come out of it, besides the fact I had an accident. God has been abundantly faithful in providing and taking care of everything. After it happened there was a volunteer police officer that was at the gas station right in front of where it happened, and he came over and called 911. Every one was ok. I was not injured and neither was the lady I hit.
I was meeting my best friend, Laura for dinner and pedicures, so I called her and she came over and helped me get everything sorted out. I really don’t know what I would have done if she hadn’t been there. Just her being there kept me calm! So after the tow truck came to get my car, we went and got a much needed pedicure and got dinner together.
The next day brought many questions to be answered. How was I gonna get to work? Could I get a rental car? Would insurance cover it? etc. But by the end of the day all my questions and concerns had been answered, praise God and his provision. Since SHP (where I work) is only about 10 minutes from campus, my boss was able to come pick me up. And after many calls to with the insurance adjuster and some research by my daddy (thank you daddy for helping me take care of everything!!), I was able to get a rental car that afternoon. On top of that I got to eat lunch with my friend, Brandi, from work!
My poor car is fixable, it’s just gonna take a couple of weeks. They called me today and said they were getting started on it. I might just have it back in time for me to leave it to go to Israel :]
So the most important thing I have learned from all of this is to praise and trust God in every circumstance, cause he will provide in such awesome ways! He promises to work EVERYTHING together for the good of those who love him!!
“To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God...No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame...Remember, O Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from old...All the ways of the Lord are loving and faithful!” Psalm 25.
