It's History!

I am so excited to say that I am officially a History major! :]

I guess it was about two weeks ago that I changed my major officially. I really am loving my ancient history class so far. My teacher is not a believer, so it has been interesting to hear his views on Israelite and Biblical history from a secular point of view. It’s been great for me because it has challenged me to dive into my Bible and search out what it says to be true. It has also been neat to be able to get a big picture story of what was going on in the rest of the world during the familiar stories of the Bible.

One of the things my professor has said is that the Bible does hold some historical significance, but it is very much a book of myths and stories. I have come to the conclusion after living in Israel and seeing the sites that the Bible speaks of and seeing how the God of the Bible has worked in my own personal life, there is no way that I can believe the Bible is a book of myths and stories.

God is good and His word is true! :]
